"Thank you for great a great hunt, great stories, and great spaghetti. This will be one of my most memorable hunts because i was able to shoot a 585" monster elk, but also, after reading your book, I had the chance to hunt with a true hunting legend"
Mr.
Tidemandsen, Norway Europe

Back in 2004 I started the "400 Club", and the club grew to amazing proportions. Our Genetics have improved so much that Silvertine got to a point in 2010 that the average Bull Elk was over 400", and in 2013 our average was 436", so we needed to change things, as our genetics were changing rapidly.

The "500 Club" was started by Silvertine to honor not only the hunters that shoot these massive 500" plus bulls, but to also honor the bulls that grew their tremendous set of antlers. Being one of Canada's longest running Hunt Ranches we know every breeder in the country, so we can find that "Dream" bull you have always been hunting for. All the bulls regardless of size are mature bulls, and are chosen based on antler spread, classic tine length and shape, and all bulls have dark capes, long beards and mature features. Our preserves are 100% forested; and thus the many wallows and dense conifer timber give our bulls the distinction of having the darkest antler color available anywhere, a rich chocolate brown, with highly polished tips, or “Silver-tines” as my grandfather use to call them. The benefit is your lifelong enjoyment of the most spectacular elk mount in your trophy room you will ever see. Enjoy the Photos of some of Silvertines "BIGGEST" Bull Elk.

It's with great honor to add Dawne to the 500 CLUB!

I just need to add Dawne to the 500 CLUB, as her bull scored 499", but had two large points broken off her bull. It was love at first site when Dawne seen this monster walk into the Elkhart Meadow a half hour before dusk. Score and broken points aside, she had to take him home. Dawne and her hunting partner Kelly have hunted with me 5 times, and are one of my annual guests, and hunting with them is more like hunting with family than a guest anymore. We love ya Dawne, and congrats on a amazing bull!

Three generations share a hunting memory of a lifetime!

Jason Lloyd finally made the 500 CLUB on his forth elk hunt with me this fall, taking down this monster 529" (with a impressive outside spread of 74") trophy in the peak of the rut as this bull came into our calls. It was an amazing day as he could share this with his 9 year old son Lochen and his father Bob, three generations of hunters together! Congratulations my friend, and I am looking forward to hunting with you again in 2021, as Silvertine has became his families annual elk hunting destination.

A young hunters first elk - could be a bull of a lifetime!

My first hunters of the year were a father and son combo David and John from British Columbia. Their migration all the way from BC was worth the journey. On the second day of hunting we spotted a monster of a bull at the top of a hill, well over 200 yards away, slightly out of Johns comfortable shooting range. We waited for what seems like an eternity, and finally the bull came down the hillside to visit some cows that were feeding at the edge of the meadow. the bull was side-hilling at 140 yards, and john was now good to go. Under the expert tutelage and listening to his guide, John made three great shots, and down the hill this amazing monster Roosevelt Elk rolled. Later in camp after all the skinning was completed, we sat down and carefully scored this beautiful bull at 567" and some change. Congrats John and I am looking forward to seeing you and David on a Bison hunt later this fall.

Silvertine's First Lady 500 CLUB Member

The fall colors were in full glory and the elk in full rut when Sheena's bull elk stepped into the meadow in a frantic course of action to keep all his cows in order and away from the challenging satellite bulls in the forest fringes. Head outstretched the monster of an elk bugled his challenge to the others, but little did he know Sheena's cross hairs were already settled on her target. Sheena's bull was a gorgeous monarch with 10x12 dark antlers, a true trophy of a lifetime. The bull scored a whopping 564", making Sheena the first lady hunter in Silvertine's 500 CLUB. Congratulations Sheena, you earned this bull after three days of hard hunting and three failed attempts the days before.

Lynn Returns for 2 MONSTER Bulls in 2018

Late August seen Mr. Lynn Stinson return for his 3rd trip at Silvertine, this time he set his sites on harvesting a 500" Manitoban and a 500" Roosevelt. We he got it done, and it was one of the longest 24hr days we ever had. The Mantioban was shot at daybreak, right out of the gate first day, and as majority of retrievals go very easy, just hard heavy work as the Manitobans are very large bodied. the Roosevelt on the other hand was right at dark, and too boot, like 1300lb Coastal Roosevelt, in a swampy area that took majority of the night to retrieve it. All in all it was a very long day, thanks Jason and Corey for your back-breaking hard work! The Manitoban scored out at 537" and the Roosevelt at 543". Congrats Lynn and see ya in November for that big whitetail!

Mr. Jarrett's Amazing 515" Roosevelt Bull Elk

2018 Guest Mr. Jerrett and his 17yr old son Gavyn were hunting for a specific 440" Rocky Mtn Elk on his gold package for 3 days here on the expansive Silvertine Ranch. On the first day Mr. Jerrett passed up a good shot opportunity on the big Rocky Mtn. the first evening, as his son had just killed his bull, and this decision in most cases can bite you in the butt, but in his situation it proved to be a good one for him. The last evening of the last day things were not looking good for Mr. Jerrett and him going home with that 440 Rocky Mtn. Elk he wanted as they never had another sighting of the bull. But, as things happen here on this ranch, about an hour before dark, at the edge of the lake a 60" wide massive Roosevelt Elk Bull stepped out of the thick spruce forest. A quick discussion with his guide Jason Shaw about upgrading, and the bull was shot at 140 yards and rolled down the hill from one clean killing shot. The bull scored 515" and has an amazing 60" outside spread! Congrats Mr. Jerrett.

555" Roosevelt Elk

2015 presented Alberta Hunter Ray Moher with a early Christmas gift. I bought this bull off of a breeder in Alberta that was using him as his Roosevelt breeder bull for many years. We chose not to score him prior to bringing him to the ranch, as he had a large kicker that came off his right antler, and though that we would run the risk of him breaking it off in the handling facility if we tried to score him, so we guessed. The bull was bought and delivered to Silvertine in July. Ray showed up in late August to hunt and harvest his bull. First day we found his bull around the south slews and he finished him off with one shot after a short stalk. Ray returned home to Alberta and had the Bull scored by a SCI Master Measured at 555", easily breaking the existing SCI World Record Estate Roosevelt Elk. Congratulations Ray, where do we go from here?

597" Roosevelt Hybrid

I Just wanted to share the GREAT news with you all on the Largest Bull Elk we have ever harvested, a WHOPPING 597 4/8"! The Hunter was Brad Goodwin, congratulations Brad. His trusty sidekick "Simba" the Beagle did a great job of tracking the bull after the shot, of course under close supervision by Yogi . . .
Hi Steve;

How are you. I did find a master measure in ladner .He is a lifetime member of SCI with lots of hunting experience in B.C. and Africa, and abroad. His name is Dr. Ron (Sekuru) Pitars’. He was only too happy to score the Roosevelt form your place when he saw it come through the Door. It took about 3 hrs and he came up with a score 597 ½ pts. He wants to check it once more on the smaller points to see if they qualify. He said it will definitely be the Number 1 Estate Roosevelt elk ever measured. The current estate record is 449 pts. At 597 ½ It may blow the current Estate record away by 148 more pts. He wants to get this right because people will be interested where it came from and the registration will have you as the guide and Silvertine. Gina ,Simba and I had a great time at your place and you hunted me a world record Roosevelt estate animal that will be hard for me to ever forget. Thanks again Steve for everything.
Thanks Brad, Gina and Samba

The Bull weighed 1480lbs, the antlers must have weighed 70-80lbs alone!
Picture
Right antler had 16 points and palmation!
Picture
This Bull had 12.5" bases and carried the weight right through the entire antler!
Picture
This Bull was so non-typical he had the look of a New Zealand Red stag!
Picture
Left antler had 14 points and palmation!
Picture
The Bull had a 60" Outside spread!

Back in December  of 2005, Raymond Olrich Killed this 508" Muzzle-loader world record, it was the largest Elk ever killed on an Estate. At the time we were all amazed at the gigantic proportions of this beast. As the years followed, genetics continued to get better and bulls continued to get bigger.
