An animal symbolic of the high mountains in Asia, this animal has a long history providing meat, clothing, milk, and transportation to folks living in the high elevation  mountains. Now there is no need to travel to far flung corners of the globe in search of an exotic hunt, you can do it right here at Silvertine. The Silvertine preserve is home to  a true feral yak hunt. With a herd of feral yak on the ranch free roaming on the massive 800 acres preserve, our hunters are not only treated to an exceptional Fair Chase hunting environment, but also witness first hand some of the best, high-quality, trophy yak available to the sportsman. This combination creates the ultimate hunt for trophy bulls. 

We have a feral resident breeding program of Pure Tibetan Yak on our 100% forested hunt preserve. This is not a farm slaughter, these are not tame yak, these yak have all the advantage and have the opportunity to evade us at any time - so it's a hunt. Sure, yak are not as as cunning as an elk or whitetail buck, but equally as keen as a bison.

We can provide you with the largest trophy bulls you will find anywhere. Silvertine has harvested many top 10 SCI bulls, and we presently hold the #1 rifle Yak, and this bull is the second largest horned yak ever recorded. Our Yak hunts can be offered May-December, but optimum time for prime hides and handeling meat is October to December.

To witness a 1500lb trophy bull walking threw the forest, standing over 5 feet tall at the hump, his skirt flowing in the wind and massive handle-bar shaped horns will be an image  that will remain etched into your memory forever. At Silvertine we conduct our hunts  spot and stalk, or still hunting the dense forest environment of Silvertine. We also offer hunts in elevated box blinds over bait plots if customers wish to. Our blinds are comfortable, roomy, soundproof, heated, and allow the hunter to take their time and make a good shot. Now there is a few things you need to know about this package hunt

1) The Silvertine Preserve is 100% forested and 100% Fair Chase hunting, not free range, but fair chase, the game will have the advantage.  The large Silvertine Preserve is ideal for rifle hunting. We do not offer bow hunts because of safety reasons!

UNLIKE MOST RANCHES, ALL OURYAK HUNTS ARE FULLY GUIDED FOR OPTIMUM SAFETY AND TROPHY SELECTION. 

2) There is a  $3,950 base hunt fee applies to our trophy hunts. This is a GUARANTEED OPPORTUNITY hunt. The Base Hunt Fee will be charged if a trophy is not taken during the scheduled hunt at no fault of Silvertine Wildlife Co. Only if we are unsuccessful in providing a reasonable opportunity for you to harvest a trophy in our size range, then no fee will be charged and your hunt will be rescheduled for a later date or your money refunded in full.
